Arctic Life/Protista/Algae

From Arctic Bioscan Wiki

Algae are a very morphologically diverse group of organisms whose chloroplasts contain chlorophyll and other photosynthetic pigments. They may be unicellular or multicellular, solitary or colonial, microscopic or macroscopic, motile or sessile. The only group of algae found in the arctic terrestrial environment are the green algae, the Chlorophyta.
